Working on a DIY project without something playing in the background is impossible for me! Be it a great podcast, a poppin' playlist, or a movie; I have to listen to something, or else the project will never get done. I'm sure I’m not alone, so I thought I'd share a few of my favorite podcasts to listen to while I work! Maybe this will inspire you to finish that project you're hiding under your couch for six months. 😫

Jokes On You Podcast
Joke On You Podcast is by far one of THE funniest podcasts to ever exist. What they lack in consistency, they more than make up for in all-out humor. Listening to @itsmelmitchell, @talleyberrybaby (and former host Lauren Knight on the older episodes) reminds me of the late-night conversations I would have with my friends. The topics are a raunchy, inspiring, and always hilarious.
Celebrity Memoir Bookclub
Celebrity Memoir Bookclub is the latest addition to my podcast collection, and I love it. It’s two comedians, Claire and Ashley, living in NYC, reading memoirs about your favorite celebs while offering their careful commentary. My fave episodes include Taraji P. Jensen, Julia Heart, and Molly Shannon. If nothing else, this podcast gives me some fascinating facts to bring up at a dinner party.
Cocktales Dirty Discussions
Cocktales Dirty Discussions is my favorite podcast! HANDS DOWN! It's all about dating and relationships hosted by my friends in my mindKiki Said So & Medinah Monroe. Between Medinah's wild stories and KiKi talking about being laid out like a starfish (after you know what), I spend the entire episode crying with laughter.
My favorite episodes include conversations with guests like King Noire, Lauren Knight, and Shan Boodram.
Myleik Teele’s Podcast
Need something to inspire you to get off your ass and work?
Then you need to listen to Myleik Teele's podcast. She provides thoughtful commentary for the working women, entrepreneurship tips, and advice on how to show up as your best self. In addition, she gives tough love advice and uses her life as an example of what can happen when you work hard and never stop striving for excellence.
My favorite episodes include the interview with fellow Howard grad Karleen Roy, I Hate My Job and I Hate My Job Pt. 2.

No list of best podcasts would be complete without The Read, and for a good reason - this show is iconic! Hosted by Kid Fury and Crissle, The Read covers everything from pop culture, mental health, and sometimes sports. (😂 if you know, you know).
This show provided laughs during some dark times in my life and I will always tune in for what Kid Fury and Crissle say, and so should you.
